Reverse Penny Drop Verification APIs

API Description

Objective

The Reverse Penny Drop Verification product, or the Unified Payments Interface(UPI) based Bank Account Verification, retrieves the bank account details of a user by necessitating them to pay a nominal amount of 1 rupee(a penny drop) using UPI links. In case of a successful transaction, the same amount is refunded to the user's account.

It retrieves the following information about the user's bank account:

• The bank account number of the user
• The IFSC Code associated with the account
• The UPI ID of the user through the penny drop transaction
• The Verification ID
• The Reference ID
• Unique Transaction Reference number
• The status of the penny drop transaction
• The transaction date
• The date of transaction processing
• The date of penny collection
• The status of the transaction reversal

The following two APIs are required for the complete reverse penny drop verification. Please ensure that you submit the requests in the same sequence.
